This isn't your typical programming class—it's a practical guide to communicating with 3ds Max through MaxScript. Maxscripting is not just about automating tasks or simplifying processes; it also unlocks a wide range of possibilities that would be unimaginable to do by hand.

As a former generalist who taught myself scripting without the help of ChatGPT, I completely understand the challenges artists face when learning to script. This course is exactly what I wish I had when I was on that journey.

The beginning is half of the whole. Starting is often the toughest part. This course will help you take that first step.

Why They Loved It

20+ years with 3dsMax and never got to learn how to use MaxScript to my benefit. This course changed everything, and introduced me to a new world of possibilities

Greg Glezakos

Lets3dsMax quickly gave me the foundational knowledge of max script, and has given me the tools and understanding to explore automated workflows like I never could before.

It's a great stepping stone for artists looking to become more technical.

If there's anyone still on the fence about joining the course - don't hesitate. It's fantastic, introduces all the fundamental concepts gradually and focuses on practical application of the knowledge gained. Heartily recommended. Thank you Changsoo Eun, looking forward to your future courses.

I am already finishing first chapter. The course is amazing! This is bible of max script. I learnt a lot about not only maxscript, also about software architecture of 3ds max. Changsoo Eun thanks master! The only my fear is that after finishing Ai or blender won’t get my job😂 I hope I will use it and find a job as TA

Awesome course, I liked the reading format instead of video tutorials…..it’s so comfortable and easy……

Hi! As someone new to maxscript and generally max overall, this course was amazing for helping me understand the basics of maxscript quite quickly. The lessons were all very clear, concise, and easy to understand right from the get go.

Even as it got more complex, for instance the Array section in the "A Taste of Programming: Dipping into Code" part , it still was quite understandable and easy to follow along with. As I went through I downloaded each file and tried to recreate it myself afterwards and could almost always get it done quite fast after each lesson.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to get into maxscript or even just learn some basics of it to supplement their skill.

Bite-Sized Written Tutorial

I first tried a video format, but it didn’t quite work because the screen was mostly static. So, I switched to a written tutorial with animated GIFs for actions—Each lesson is designed to be bite-sized for easy focus and understanding, while all are interconnected to guide you through step-by-step. You’ll need to complete each lesson to unlock the next, with new sections becoming available over time.

Q&A Forum

In addition to the course material, you'll also gain access to a private forum where you can ask any questions along your learning journey, and I'll be there to support you every step of the way.

Certification

Upon completion, you'll receive a certification.
